If you missed the live webcast on Grounding Monitor Interrupters last night, here’s the video for you to watch or share

I had a great live stream last night with Bob, John, Randy and Chris at RVing in New England. Note that this was my first video where I discuss the challenges that campgrounds will face when the new 2026 RVs with GMI (Grounding Monitor Interrupter) units hit the streets.
The GMI facts (from me)…
- GMI devices will be required in all new RVs late 2026 (exact date is still TBA)
- GMI devices will NOT be installed in any campground pedestals
- There are currently no GMI devices designed for campground pedestals
- There are no GMI devices available to retrofit to existing RVs
- A campground pedestal with improper grounding will cause the GMI in new RVs to interrupt power to the RV which cannot be bypassed
- Campground pedestals will need to be tested for correct grounding (bonding)
- There will be special training and test gear required to test pedestals for correct grounding so that a GMI equipped RV will receive electric power
- Adding a grounding rod to a pedestal or RV will not create a sufficient ground to allow the GMI to turn on power to the RV

Lets play safe out there… Mike

Best to you Mike. Thanks Mort Kissell
Hi Mike,
I attended your seminar on this subject at the Keller show Monday. I was wondering if it would be possible to have that presentation emailed to me. For a newish person still learning things, I feel this was one of best ways someone has explained stuff like this in a way that all can understand.
The facebook link is broken. Maybe provide a youtube video?
Is there a link to the video?
