Should I teach you 3-phase power?

It’s now allowed in single-phase, 50-amp pedestals at campgrounds, so should I show you how it works?

Dear Readers,

This is pretty advanced stuff, but I believe it’s vitally important to any campground technician or maintenance personnel who needs to work on RV pedestals that now allowed to be connected directly to a 3-phase electrical service. This is actually a good thing, as long as they know what they’re doing.

I know a lot about 3-phase power

I’ve been installing and troubleshooting 3-phase industrial and concert power systems since the mid 1970s, so I’m well qualified to teach it. I’ve even built a desktop 3-phase signal generator that can demonstrate all versions and voltages of 3-phase power you can find in the USA.

What I can demonstrate…

Here’s my custom 3-phase signal generator that I designed and built. It can create Delta, High-Leg Delta, Grounded-Leg Delta and Wye (Star) electrical services with 120, 208, 240, 277 and 480 volts at 50 and 60 Hz. .

Will you read it?

So should I take the time and effort to show you how 3-phase power in campgrounds works? Please take this poll and add your comments below.

Let’s play (and study) safe out there… Mike
