How Grounding Monitor Interrupters Work Part-1 Video

This 15-minute video explains how a Grounding Monitor Interrupters work and the affect they might have on your 2027 camping experience

Everyone,

Here’s Part 1 of my 2-part video series on the new GMI (Grounding Monitor Interrupter) rollout that’s currently scheduled to begin mid/late 2027. Yes this is an in-depth video, but if you know how GMI’s work it can help eliminate a lot of the potential confusion.

This is the same video I’ve already released on my new LMS training site No~Shock~Zone.Academy. You can access Part 2 on GMI testing for free along with online quizzes by registering for free on NoShockZone.org.

If you’re already a paid subscriber on this SubStack, you should have received a Free Voucher for No~Shock~Zone that will also give you access to my full 8-part online training courses on RV electricity theory and troubleshooting.

This is the same course series I’ve developed for RV technician training, so it does go much deeper than these normal articles here. And if you’re one of the 12,000 free subscribers here, you can upgrade to a Paid Subscription for $5 per month or $50 per year and be sent the No~Shock~Zone voucher code automatically. That will give you access to all my online training courses.

Let’s play (and learn) safely out there… Mike

  1. Mike, as a semi retired Master Electrician and running an RV Service center, have been looking for additional information on GMI. Have not found a supplier or manufacture.

    1. That’s because GMI devices don’t exist yet. They’re still in prototype development. But I’m aware of the theory of operation and will continue to do live webcasts on how they work and are listed per UL2299v2.
