I’m launching NoShockZone and RVeTech as new online training sites
In the next month we’ll be adding two new LMS (Learning Management System) sites to RVelectricity, each with its own mission and training content….
RVelectricity.com is expanding!

RVelectricity.com will always be a free site with an expanding base of electrical articles and videos related to RV and Campground electrical power. Note that there’s already a large percentage of articles here that focus on electrical safety, theory and troubleshooting. It’s not meant to be a review site, although it does show tools that I use in my own test lab and in the field. And while it’s free to subscribe with all content being available to everyone, there are also voluntary paid memberships of $5 per month or $50 per year available which helps defer some of my operational costs.
NoShockZone.org is restarting!

NoShockZone.org is being relaunched this fall and will include non-RV related content on residential electricity and general electrical knowledge. In addition, it will be the home of consumer training courses about RV electricity. So if you want to learn how to use a MultiMeter to test battery voltage, or measure current with a clamp meter, this is the place to find it. I’ve also had a number of tech high schools ask about video training content for their STEM classes. This will be fun since I’ve been an adjunct professor for nearly two decades teaching audio electronics and live sound electrical safety, plus I have a background in robotics control. While these school programs will be behind a firewall, I plan to offer online basic electricity courses to any RVelectricity.com reader who’s a already a voluntary paid subscriber ($5 per month or $50 per year).
RVeTech.com is launching!

RVeTech.com will launch as a private website this December and be secured behind a paywall for RV technicians and campground maintenance staff only. As you’re all probably aware, most RV technicians have little or no formal training on electrical troubleshooting, which drives up repair costs and increases downtime. My last 50 years in the electrical industry have primarily been focused on advanced electrical troubleshooting techniques, so here’s my opportunity to help the RV industry train better technicians. This site will not only provide advanced electrical training for RV technicians, attendees will be be graded after each training section. And if all goes well, we’ll also be able to provide CEU (Continuing Education Units) for RV technicians who pass these courses.
Note that NoShockZone.org and RVeTech.com only have landing pages posted so far and are not operational. But we’ll send notifications to everyone with free trial courses soon.
Let’s play safe out there… Mike

Looking forward hope to see lithium house batteries retro..
Once I get the work flow figured out, I should be able to build some pretty good electricity courses.
I have been following you for years and will continue to do so. Let me know where to contribute.
Thanks: Bill Toth
Thanks very much.
How will one be able to access the RVeTech.com Buy paying? I may not be an official RV Technician but having owned a DP since 2018 and never having been in the shop kind of makes me one so to speak. Replacing air bags, installing a full function bidet seat to busting all six tires and mounting new ones just last month. (Amazing what you could accomplish with a couple 40-inch tire irons). Fluids and filters and everything else that must be done. I do it. I want in.
Thanks
Trippy
Because a lot of the content in the RVeTech training area will become RVTI CEU’s, I’ll need to get special approval for anyone attending that’s not a licensed RV technician. But perhaps I can allow a consumer to audit the class on RVeTech without earning credits, or I could republish some of the classes on NoShockZone. Since I’m working to get this program accredited on RVeTech I’ll have to tread lightly.
That sounds great.
Thank you
How does one get a voucher for training?
If you’re already a paid subscriber on RVelectricity.SubStack.com you should have received a free voucher code for NoShockZone.org.
You can also subscribe directly on NoShockZone.org for $50 per year. There’s already two free Courses posted on NSZ that you can take for free.
is the RVetech academy still happening?
Yes, I’ll send out an announcement next week. The first 8 courses are complete.
